Jeg fikk gleden til å jobbe sammen med deg da jeg var nyutdannet sykepleier. Takk for all kunnskap du villig delte med dine kollegaer. Vil minnes deg som et positiv med mye humor. Hvil i fred kjære Lynne ️
We had a lovely memorial gathering for Lynne: Mary, Gail, Inkeri, Mariann and Rod. Then we reminisced ... great stories! We're sorry we could not attend the funeral. The secretary of the National Spiritual Assembly of Finland, Safa Hovinen, also attended.

To our dear sister Lynne!
We treasure the happy, funny and beautiful memories of all our times together through the years, in the many places all the way from Åland to the North Calotte. We will never forget the warmth of your friendship, your loving support and most generous laughter. You are going to create quite a stir among the Concourse on High, to be sure!
With all our love and warmest condolences to Gwen and family,
Bestow upon Thy heavenly handmaiden, O God, the holy fragrances born of the spirit of Thy forgiveness. Cause her to dwell in a blissful abode, heal her griefs with the balm of Thy reunion, and, in accordance with Thy will, grant her admission to Thy holy Paradise. Let the angels of Thy loving-kindness descend successively upon her, and shelter her beneath Thy blessed Tree. Thou art, verily, the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Generous, the All-Bountiful. 'Abdu'l-Bahá

We were grieved to hear of the passing of Lynne Hippler, whom we remember with love and gratitude for her outstanding services to the Cause of Bahá'u'lláh both in Finland and the North Calotte region. She came to Finland in 1973 as a pioneer during the Nine Year Plan, and lived in Turku, Mariehamn and Vaasa. After some years she moved to Northern Norway as one of the first pioneers to the North Calotte. Lynne had a deep love for the indigenous people and was an active promoter of the Faith wherever she lived.
We greatly appreciate her service on the Regional Council for the North Calotte for some years during the time the Council was under the jurisdiction of the National Spiritual Assembly of Finland. She was a deeply devoted, dedicated and highly courageous pioneer with the most contagious laugh.

A prayer for Lynne:
He is God!
O peerless Lord! Praised be Thou for having kindled that light in the glass of the Concourse on high, for having guided that bird of faithfulness to the nest of the Abhá Kingdom. Thou hast joined that precious river to the mighty sea, Thou hast returned that spreading ray of light to the Sun of Truth. Thou hast welcomed that captive of remoteness into the garden of reunion, and led him who longed to look upon Thee to Thy presence in Thy bright place of lights.
Thou art the Lord of tender love, Thou art the last goal of the yearning heart, Thou art the dearest wish of the martyrs soul.

Lynne spent a lot of her time with my grandmother when she lived in Tana-Nesseby 30 years ago. She used to have Bahai visitors from America, natives, and always took them to my grandmothers house. Sometimes the visitors also stayed in her house. She also took my grandmother to Bahai summer camp. I remember Lynne well from when I was a little girl. When Lynne found out that I became a Bahai in 2015, she immediately contacted me and came all the way to visit us here in Tana. We had some lovely and funny days together, and we visited some of her friends from when she lived here. I really appreciate all the stories she told me and the photos she gave me. I have never doubted the impact of her time here in Sápmi. In loving memory and deep gratitude.

Lynne had an amazing menory for details and always cared for others. She had an infectious laughter and deep love for people, especially those with rough experiences. Im sure she will have good use for these qualities wherever she is now.
